Celebs Fight Back on Social Media

May 2024 · 2 minute read

Don’t mess with these stars, internet trolls! From shutting down body shamers to slamming anyone who dares question their talents, many celebs have chosen to engage in online battles head-on over the years.

The Kardashian-Jenner family, for instance, is extremely talented at the art of the internet clap back. In January 2020, Kim Kardashian defended herself after she was accused of not donating to the Australian bushfire relief efforts.

“Nothing gets me more heated than to see people think they know what we donated to and to think we have to publicize everything,” she wrote via Twitter at the time.

Her sister Khloé Kardashian stood by her side, writing, “We often bring attention to causes and ways you can donate. It’s our job to bring awareness to situations so we all can help as a human race.”

That wasn’t the first time — and most likely not the last time — Khloé came to her sister’s defense. The Good American cofounder has long supported her family against any trolls who come their way.

In 2014, the Revenge Body host slammed a social media user who criticized Kendall Jenner for wearing a sheer top on the runway at New York Fashion Week.

“She’s too dope for you 2 understand! Yall would trade places with her in a second. The hate is real! Lol bye haters! Basic bitches NOT wanted,” Khloé tweeted at the time.

The reality star knows how to come to her own defense, too. After an Instagram user commented on an August 2019 Instagram post that it looked like she was using her daughter, True, as an “accessory,” Khloé was quick to respond.

“Would you like a parent NOT to create memories and traditions with their child? Would you like someone else to watch my child and me to do these things on my own?” she wrote. “I am her mother and we will celebrate life together every day. True and I are creating magical memories TOGETHER FOREVER.”

The Real Housewives are another group with a lot of skill for slamming trolls. After Erika Jayne was mocked online for her casual appearance while pumping gas in June 2021, the star responded to the many social media messages she received.

“Goodnight Twitter, please be in full glam when pumping gas. Apparently it’s a big deal,” the “How Many F—ks?” singer tweeted.
