CSI's Original Cast Reunites Before Series Finale: Photos

May 2024 · 2 minute read

With just over one month to go until CSI‘s series finale, fans aren’t the only ones feeling nostalgic. Original cast member Marg Helgenberger, who has appeared as Catherine Willows for the last 15 years and 300 episodes, gathered former costars together for some epic social media photos during finale filming. (As they say, pics or it didn’t happen!)

Among the #OGCSI fam in attendance? William Petersen (who played Gil Grissom and is a CSI executive producer), Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders), Paul Guilfoyle (Capt. Jim Brass), and Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle).

“Great fun today with this gang!” Helgenberger, who now appears on CBS’ Under the Dome, enthused on Twitter on Friday, July 31.

Fun for the actors to take the photos, but sad for the fans to see them. “Have to admit I got a little teary eyed seeing this one of you all together,” user @allaboutmarg tweeted in response. “My heart is full of joy and sadness at the same time. CSI will always be in my heart. Love you all,” added @danie_sepulveda, using the hashtag #CSIForever.

Those in Helgenberger’s social media photos aren’t the only ones returning to bid farewell to Jerry Bruckheimer‘s crime drama, which has spawned spinoffs including CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, and the Patricia Arquette-fronted CSI: Cyber. E! reports that Ted Danson, Jon Wellner, David Berman, Wallace Langham, Elisabeth Harnois, Robert David Hall, and Melinda Clarke will stop by for a final curtain call.

The series finale of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation airs Sept. 27 on CBS.
