Style trumps hate too. After Donald Trump won the presidential election, clothing designer Kaelen Haworth didn’t hit the streets in protest or fasten a safety pin to one of her blouses. Instead, she found an even more effective way of taking a stand.
On November 11, Haworth, whose designs are loved by Blake Lively and Brittany Snow, announced that all pieces on her brand’s website would be 75 percent off. And all sales from the pieces go towards a fluid list that includes 17 charities — specifically organizations supporting causes that Trump, 70, is against. Planned Parenthood, Black Lives Matter, Everytown for Gun Safety, the Council on American Islamic Relations, Women’s Health Specialists and more will benefit from the sale.
“The feedback has been incredible so far,” Haworth tells Stylish. “We have had a lot of people tell us that they love the idea and they’re happy to be able to support a cause that they believe in. That’s a real win-win.”
Haworth announced the sale in a November 11 Instagram post. “The codes are up on the website now – If you don’t see the charity you want your money to go to, send us an email and we’ll make a code for you,” she captioned. “We’ve already been called out today for neglecting to include certain charities (totally cool, let us know) and for not having a readily available NRA donation code (not as cool, & definitely not a charity) // EVERY CENT from any purchase from any season (past or present) made between now and next Friday will go to the charity you choose // We ❤️ You Friends! #lovetrumpshate.”

And it seems like her followers have heard her loud and clear. “So far we’ve raised approximately $15,000 for various charities,” she reveals. “As the sale continues until Friday, we’re hoping to continue the momentum.”
