Wedded bliss! Just a few months after secretly tying the knot, Jodie Foster and her new wife Alexandra Hedison hit an Emmys afterparty on Monday, Aug. 25, as a married couple. 

The lovebirds attended HBO's Official 2014 Emmy Afterparty at The Plaza at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles. Both women looked beautiful in complementary black gowns for the star-studded soirée. 

Foster, 51, was chic in a simple black strapless Max Mara dress. She added a touch of glamour with a sparkling Neil Lane diamond and platinum waterfall necklace, and a matching ring, bracelet, and earrings.

Her photographer love, 45, stunned in a sexy black dress with a crossover neckline, offering a peek of sideboob. Before she became involved with Foster, Hedison previously dated Ellen DeGeneres in the early 2000s. 

Foster and Hedison exchanged vows in a private ceremony this past April. The Elysium star, who began dating Hedison in October 2013, was nominated at the Emmys for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for her work on Orange Is the New Black, but lost to Modern Family.

The 2014 Emmys followed a major moment for Foster at the 2013 Golden Globes. The celebrated actress and director won the Cecil B. DeMille award, addressing her sexuality in a moving speech at the awards show. 

Foster was previously in a long-term relationship with Cydney Bernard, whom she split from in 2008 after 15 years together. Though they are no longer together, Foster and Bernard share custody of their two children, sons Charlie and Kit.
