Maya Rudolph Perfectly Impersonates Beyonce During Saturday Night Live

May 2024 · 1 minute read

#Flawless! Maya Rudolph killed her Beyonce game during Saturday Night Live’s 40th Anniversary special on Sunday, Feb. 15. The Bridesmaids star, who first took on Queen Bey in 2012 and again after Bey’s sister Solange Knowles’ elevator brawl with Jay Z, took the stage again as the songstress while looking back at the best SNL musical acts with Martin Short.

“For 40 years, Saturday Night Live has given us so many iconic moments,” Rudolph said after storming the stage in a sparkly one-piece. With her hair perfectly waved a la Queen Bey, Rudolph then broke out into two of Bey’s hits including “Halo” and “Drunk In Love” — but, she changed the lyrics, of course.

“For 40 years and 40 nights,” she crooned in perfect sync to the tune of “Drunk In Love” and sounding almost exactly like Jay Z’s wife.

After doing her best hip pops — complete with a wind machine causing her Bey-approved locks to flow — Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen took over as their iconic characters “Garth And Kat.”
