Marisa Miller is a model mama-to-be.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel, 33 — due to give birth “any minute” to her first child with husband Griffin Guess — stripped down recently to show off her growing baby bump in a topless photo shoot for Allure. And, no surprise here, she looked amazing.
The genetically blessed bombshell flaunted her still-enviable figure — belly and all — in a series of gorgeous black-and-white shots to accompany the magazine’s exclusive online interview, in which Miller opens up about her changing body, her pregnancy beauty routine, and her secret to avoiding stretchmarks.
“I always felt, even before I got pregnant, that it’s better to accentuate your curves,” the Sports Illustrated cover girl told Allure.com of her modeling strategy for the nude shoot. “It’s important to really show off the belly. For some reason, for me, from the side, it looks the biggest, so that’s what I tried to do.”
Indeed, the model seems to have embraced her pregnancy — in more ways than one. After she got the happy news that she was expecting, she completely revamped her beauty routine, trading fancy chemical-filled cleansers for organic, natural soaps and forgoing the usual highlights in her long, wavy locks. She also scaled back on her fitness routine and gave up paddle boarding — a favorite pastime — once she was around 17 weeks along.
“I looked so funny standing up on the board with all that extra weight in front,” she said. “I did Pilates five times a week during my second trimester, but it’s so modified now, mostly stretching and breathing. It’s easy to feel swollen and puffy, and moving really helps with the circulation.”
Another thing that helps is advice from other moms and moms-to-be. “My sisters both had babies this year and were really religious about preventative care,” Miller explained, adding that she sought tips from people online as well.
“I’d been on Molly Sims‘s blog a lot — she was in her third trimester when I had just gotten pregnant — and she posted this recipe [for preventing stretchmarks]: shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and Vitamin E,” the model revealed. “I made it myself, boiling the ingredients, and I poured it into mason jars. I’ve loved the community of women who share their tips.”

Miller, for her part, has some tips of her own. “Embrace everything and all the changes,” she said of what she’s learned from her pregnancy. “I had never even owned a scale before, but gaining weight is part of charting your progress. Yes, I was seeing numbers I’d never seen before, but I let go of that because I had a new goal and focus.”
