Prince Harry Talks Vegas Nude Photos: Too Much Army, Not Enough Prince

May 2024 · 2 minute read

This lad is letting it go. More than two years after the infamous incident, Prince Harry is finally talking about his August 2012 Vegas nude photos that left many blushing — and Buckingham Palace upset.

"It was probably a classic case of me being too much Army and not enough prince," the royal, 30, says in the new issue of Man of the World magazine. "It's a simple case of that."

Simple now, but not so much when the racy pics first went viral. The explicit photos showed Prince Harry covering his private parts with his hand while a naked woman stood behind him. At the time, he and other partygoers were playing strip pool in a VIP suite.

As previously reported, Prince Harry's older brother William wasn't too pleased with the redhead's late-night partying. "He's not impressed," a royal insider told Us. "He will be reprimanded [by the army]," a senior military source added to Us. "Officers should never bring the Service into disrepute, whether on or off duty. This display of social misbehavior has raised eyebrows."

After a quick slap on the wrist, Prince Harry returned to a more serious environment. "I saw some horrendous things," he told the mag of his second tour in Afghanistan. "The tragic injuries and deaths of local people from roadside bombs, some of whom were children; coalition forces lying on the battlefield." Last month, he took a mini-tour in the Middle East.
