Keep your friends close but your enemies closer! Just one day after Us Weekly exclusively broke the news that Simon Cowell is expecting a baby with New York socialite Lauren Silverman, the X Factor creator and judge's ex-fiancee, Mezhgan Hussainy, was spotted paying him a visit Thursday, August 1.

Dressed in white pants and a beige top, the makeup artist — who has moved on from American Idol and now works with Cowell on X Factor — was all smiles entering his Beverly Hills home just hours before he was set to appear at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in L.A.

If Hussainy's visit included a pep talk, it seemed to work! At the X Factor TCA panel later that night, the 53-year-old suavely moved on after reporters asked about being a soon-to-be dad.

"Am I missing something?" he joked. "Unfortunately, I have to keep this for the moment private. It's just one of those things. But thank you very much anyway."
