Tim Robbins hasn't been Susan Sarandon's only high-profile relationship.

The 67-year-old actress recently revealed that she's had quite a few interesting romances over the years.

During an interview with The Daily Beast, Sarandon — who's been busy promoting her latest movie, The Last of Robin Hood, which tells the story of a young actress's relationship with the much older Errol Flynn — was asked if she'd ever had a "wild love affair" with a big celebrity. Let's just say her answer did not disappoint.

"There was a 14- or-15-year difference between Louis Malle and I," replied the actress, who was directed b the French filmmaker in Pretty Baby and Atlantic City. "We met on a set. That was such a learning experience because he was French, had a truffle farm, and I really hadn't spent a lot of time in Europe. That was really valuable. But in terms of hooking up with movie stars, I got married really young, which knocked out most of my 20s to be f–king around."

In case you don't know a whole lot about Sarandon's relationship history, she tied the knot with her college sweetheart, actor Chris Sarandon, in 1967. After they divorced in 1979, she had been romantically linked to the aforementioned Malle. In the '80s, she also dated Italian filmmaker Franco Amurri, with whom she has a daughter, Eva. In 1988, she met and fell in love with Tim Robbins while filming Bull Durham. After 23 years together and two sons, Jack and Miles, the couple called it quits in December 2009. But as we learn from The Daily Beast interview, Sarandon has a few more former flames.

"There have been a couple of famous, pretty interesting ones," the actress continued. "One rock star, and another actor. But I'm pretty much a nester and tend to be monogamous."

So who was the rock star?

"Bowie," she replied. Apparently, the two hooked up while co-starring in the 1983 vampire flick The Hunger.

"He's worth idolizing. He's extraordinary," she gushed. "That was a really interesting period… Bowie's just a really interesting person, and so bright. He's a talent, and a painter, and… he's great."

Though she still seems to have affection for the "Space Oddity" singer, Bowie, now 67, has been happily married to supermodel Iman since 1992. Meanwhile, Sarandon has been happily dating a much younger man, her 36-year-old business partner, Jonathan Bricklin.

"Jonathan and I collaborate on different things. That means a lot of things," Susan, who is an investor along with Bricklin in a NYC ping-pong nightclub called SPiN, told AARP The Magazine in February.
