Sweet Valley High Reboot? Brittany Daniel Says It's Possible!

These days Hollywood is reboot city! As most of the Full House cast prepares for the Netflix spinoff series, Fuller House, and Heroes fans are anxiously awaiting the NBC reboot, Heroes Reborn, Sweet Valley High actress Brittany Daniel had an encouraging update for fans of the ‘90s show. 

“We have a conversation with Francine Pascal in the next couple of weeks so, yeah, we’re definitely interested in doing a reboot of that,” Daniel, 39, tells Us Weekly of the SVH author Pascal at the Joe Dirt 2 premiere in Culver City, Calif. on Wednesday, June 24.

The TV adaptation of Pascal’s popular novels aired for four seasons from 1994 to 1997. Brittany played Jessica Wakefield opposite her twin sister, Cynthia Daniel, who starred as Liz Wakefield. 

“I remember when my sister and I found out we booked Sweet Valley High, that’s not the best day of my life, but that was a highlight of my life,” Brittany recalls to Us. “I remember when I booked Sweet Valley High with my twin sister. Because we were about to graduate high school and we found out ‘Oh my God, we get to move to L.A. a week after high school,’ so that was a big moment for us.”
