A master of disguise. Tom Hanks donned a crisp blazer, white shirt, and black-and-white striped tie while filming the role of the titular character in Sully in New York City on Friday, Oct. 2. But the wardrobe was only one part of the transformation.

The Forrest Gump actor, 59, also sported a full head of white-grey hair and dyed his mustache and eyebrows for his part as Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, the air pilot who saved 155 lives when he landed US Airways Flight 1549 into the Hudson River back in 2009.

Clint Eastwood will direct the biopic, which was written by Todd Komarnicki, the scribe behind such hits as Perfect Stranger and Elf. It's based on Sullenberger’s autobiography, Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters.

Hanks was rumored to be up for the role this past June.

It’s been a long few months — with many roles! — for the Olive Kitteridge executive producer, who officiated Girls star Allison Williams’ wedding to Ricky Van Veen just last month.

“Here’s what I did,” he told Extra of getting the proper certification. “I studied the ministry for over $35. And if you want to call me the Right Reverend Tom Hanks, I think you should.”

“I’m for rent,” he joked. “If you can afford the honorarium, I’ll be there for ya.”
